How to Render a 3D Scene in Photoshop
Once you have set up the lights, textured your objects and framed the composition, you need to render the final image.
Rendering can take some time, depending on the complexity of the scene and processor power of your computer. Rendering time is usually a good time for a stretch or snack break.
Step One
In Photoshop open a new blank document (File > New). Set the image size to 1,024 pixels by 1,024 pixels.
Step Two
Using the Text tool (t key), add some text to the document.
Step Three
After you type the last letter, press the Convert to 3D icon in the Text tool options.

With the Rotate 3D Object icon selected, click and drag in the View box to move the camera to frame the text.

Choose 3D > Render to see your rendered text. The render progress displays in the lower left corner of the window. You can pause the rendering by clicking the document. To resume the rendering, choose 3D > Resume Render.
Step Six
To set the render quality, open the Photoshop Preferences, 3D section. The Ray Tracer High Quality Threshold can be set from 1 to 10, with 10 being the highest quality and taking the longest time to render.
Saving Your Rendered Image
Once your image is rendered, you can save the image by duplicating the 3D layer (Cmd/j (PC – Ctrl/j). Turn off the visibility for the original layer, then right-click the duplicated layer and choose Rasterize 3D.

Another option is to convert your 3D layer to a Smart Object.
