Players use swords, lances, pistols, and magic spells to defeat enemies. Battles are frenetic, highlighted by impact sounds and cries of pain. Cutscenes also show acts of violence: a man impaled with a sword; a man repeatedly shooting himself in the head. Some sequences depict blood stains on characters’ bodies and/or clothing.
A tale of emotion versus reason In TALES OF BERSERIA, players embark on a journey of self-discovery as they assume the role of Velvet, a young woman whose once kind demeanor has been replaced and overcome with a festering anger and hatred after a traumatic experience three years prior to the events within TALES OF BERSERIA.

The game contains some suggestive material: female characters and creatures depicted partially nude (no genitalia or nipples are seen); suggestive references in the dialogue (e.g., “You mean it feels good to get whipped,” “Your butt is a bit bulky,” and “Eating lots of vegetables will give you bazongas”). During the course of the game, some characters are depicted drinking alcohol, slurring their speech, and discussing drinking (e.g., “If you guys are going to have a drinking contest, you’re going to need some snacks to go with all that alcohol, right?”). The words “a*s” and “bastard” appear in dialogue.

Tales of Beseria will be available in North America on January 24th, 2017 and in Europe on January 27th, 2017. It will be out for the PC, PS4 and PS3 platforms. The game is already available in Japan if you want to import it.
